Recklinghausen Blumenthal

Recklinghausen Blumenthal is a location with a long tradition. After the closure of the Blumenthal colliery, the town of Recklinghausen was able to acquire the site and spend several years redeveloping it thanks to funding from the ‘Regional Economic Development Programme’. Today, the former colliery site and its neighbouring areas still offer several hectares of developed, immediately available commercial space.

Mining accents, such as the former winding engine house and the locomotive shed, as well as the above-ground pipelines, bear witness to the industrial charm of the space. Not only commercial space is available for sale, but the newly built office building next to the engine shed also offers 300m2 of office space for rent. Divided into three sections, Blumenthal offers perfect opportunities for investment and construction projects - whether on 2,000 or 20,000m2. All areas are close to Recklinghausen's old town, the ‘parlour’ of the Ruhr region, as well as the main railway station, which is also served by the ICE line Hamburg-Cologne-Munich. The A2 and A43 motorways are just a few minutes away by car. The airports of Düsseldorf, Dortmund and Münster-Osnabrück can be reached quickly. The city harbour on the Rhine-Herne Canal also allows goods to be transported by barge.

Recklinghausen is not only a good place to work, but also a good place to live: The world-famous Ruhr Festival, the museum landscape, a charming old town and life in a ‘city in the countryside’ characterise Recklinghausen.
