DUISBURG LOGPORT VI

The site, which covers around 40 hectares, is the second largest project from the
duisport. logport I, the former pilot project in brownfield development and a prime example of the port in Duisburg
development and a prime example of the harbour in Duisburg Rheinhausen. Logport VI strengthens Duisburg's image as one of the most important industrial locations in Germany. With this site, duisport is creating another hub for sustainable logistics in the centre of the Rhine-Ruhr metropolitan region. The trimodal connection directly on the Rhine, including a 500 metre long quay wall, an integrated container terminal (MTD Multimodal Terminal Duisburg) with an area of around six hectares and the direct connection to intermodal transport chains in the European hinterland and Asia, provide clear competitive advantages.

In November 2021, the well-known logistics group DSV was the first company to start operating a 57,000 m2 hall on a total area of 120,000 square metres at logport VI in Duisburg-Walsum. In December 2021, the international logistics giant Maersk moved into logport VI. In summer 2023, the world-renowned container shipping company built a new mega distribution centre with 43,000 m2 of warehouse space. Maersk has a total of around eleven hectares at its disposal here. Around five hectares are still available adjacent to the trimodal container terminal.
