The approximately 20,000 square meter building complex has since become the workplace for more than 1,000 employees of the CARIAD subsidiary in Bochum, who were previously spread across three separate locations. Located directly on the historic Opelring and thus at the gates of the MARK 51°7 technology campus, the mainly white building complex attracts visitors to the area. Travelers on the A448 are also warmly greeted by the striking home of Volkswagen Infotainment.

The new company headquarters consists of a five-storey office section, a parking garage with 425 parking spaces on 12 levels, an engineering building and a research and development workshop. The latter, with its test rooms, workshops and acoustic and high-frequency measuring chambers, forms the technical heart of the new building complex. The new home also means a significant increase in capacity: The number of parking spaces in the vehicle hall of our experimental workshop has tripled, with a sharp increase to 30 spaces. The highlight of the new workshop: A test chamber large enough for entire vehicles, providing the ideal research and development conditions for the tech company in the development of software and hardware components in the field of connectivity for the vehicle brands in the Volkswagen Group.
